Ferra is an iron-forward nutrition bar, made for everyday life.

The iron gap

Women need iron. A lot of us aren’t getting enough.

More than one-third of women in the U.S. are iron deficient. Iron plays an essential role in carrying oxygen throughout the body, supporting everything from energy to focus.

Our needs are especially high during the menstruating years — yet most of the convenient foods we eat every day weren’t designed with those needs in mind.

Walk down the nutrition bar aisle and you’ll find plenty of protein. Plenty of macros. Not much iron.

Getting enough through food takes intention. Supplements can be easy to forget and difficult to tolerate.

We thought there should be another option.

So we made one. Meet Ferra: everyday nutrition with iron at the center.

Why you’ll love it.

Iron, forward

25%+ of your Daily Value of iron in every bar, using ferrous bisglycinate — a highly bioavailable iron amino acid chelate that's also gentler and easier to tolerate than many iron sources.

Built for absorption

An excellent source of vitamin C, included on purpose, because vitamin C helps your body absorb non-heme iron.

Real food

Nuts, seeds, and other nutrient-dense whole-food ingredients bring real nutrition, texture, and flavor.

10g protein

Satisfying enough to be an actual snack — not another supplement to remember.

It’s not just how much you consume. It’s how thoughtfully it’s delivered.

Designed around absorption.

The amount of iron you eat isn’t the same as the amount your body absorbs. That gap is the whole reason [Fe]rra exists.

A highly bioavailable form of iron

[Fe]rra uses ferrous bisglycinate, an iron amino acid chelate known for its high bioavailability. We pair it with naturally iron-containing ingredients like seeds — purposeful formulation alongside real food.

Vitamin C, built right in

Vitamin C helps your body absorb non-heme iron, the type found in plant-based foods. Every [Fe]rra Bar includes an excellent source of it, so there's no separate glass of orange juice to remember.

Iron on a label isn't the whole story

Plant foods can contain meaningful iron, but it's non-heme iron, which is harder to absorb — and compounds such as phytates, found naturally in grains, nuts, seeds, and legumes, reduce absorption further.

Us vs. them.

Iron shouldn’t require a nutrition strategy.

Cereal may provide iron, but you still need a bowl and milk — and calcium can interfere with absorption. Plant foods vary considerably depending on what you eat alongside them.

[Fe]rra puts meaningful iron + vitamin C + satisfying nutrition into one convenient bar.
